Ken Busto

Kenneth BustoKen began his exploration of Chinese medicine twenty years ago through the study of internal martial arts and qigong.  These pursuits led him to China, where he trained at the Wudang and Shaolin Temples, as well as with lineage holders in Beijing.  He holds a Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University, where he also earned medical specialty certificates in Integrative Sports Medicine and Tuina (Chinese medical massage).  

Ken then went on to become licensed in California and Hawaii, and to attain status as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  Prior to pursuing his formal TCM education, Ken enjoyed a successful and rewarding career as a personal trainer specializing in corrective and rehabilitative exercise as well as performance enhancement.



Primary modality is acupuncture, which may be augmented with other tools of Chinese medicine:

• Moxibustion


• Cupping


• Gua sha


• Auricular acupuncture, Ear seeds/tacks
• Tuina, including Yang tuina, Yin tuina, Qigong tuina, and Pediatric tuina


• Dietary recommendations


• Herbal therapeutics/patent medicines
• Additional modern techniques such as microcurrent electro-acupuncture, kinesio-taping, and magnet therapy
